Mrs. Kailash A. Nevagi
Advocate Kailash A. Nevagi is a multifaceted personality and a true
representation of the modern Indian woman. Qualifications such as M.Com
(Tax), MBA and L.L.B are an understatement of her repertoire of
knowledge. She is married to Mr. Abhay S. Nevagi, an eminent advocate
practicing in the Bombay High Court. Initiated into legal world by her
husband she has competed more than 25 years at the Bar.
She has vast experience in matters relating to personal law, adoption, civil litigation, and consumer laws etc. She is expertised in diverse areas of adoption, matrimonial disputes and cyber laws. Together with her husband she founded the law firm named Abhay Nevagi & Associates, an established full service law firm today, having offices at Kolhapur, Pune and Mumbai, with more than 30 advocates on roll. Presently she is single-handedly looking after the administration of the entire law firm.
Out of her ever busy schedule she has also committed herself for various pro-bono activities. Mrs. Nevagi is on the Advisory Board of the Government Remand Home in Kolhapur and is also a Member of the National AIDS Research Institute (NARI). She has also set up a charitable trust named Abhilasha aimed at providing help to persons in need of aid and advise in the form of free online counselling (i.e. through e-mail only) irrespective of their race, religion, age, sex, region or their socio-economic background.
